THE IMPLEMENTATION OF FP-GROWTH ANALYSIS ON THE UTILITY MANAGEMENT OF NEDDY ENTERPRISE SDN. BHD.

Abstract

In the era where technology helps people to ease their life, companies nowadays often used technology approach especially business analytics and data mining to assist them in better decision making for the company. Neddy Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. is an electrical company that often takes project from TNB. By doing the project, the company needs to buy products to use them in the specific project. However, the purchasing and operational strategy is not fully optimized where the company does not buy the products in bulks. The issues faced by Neddy Enterprise has been identidied through the intial phase of the study. Therefore, the implementation of FP-Growth analysis to the business operation has been developed to enhance the current business process and ease the decision making. Starting with the preliminary study, collecting data and lastly processing the data into the dataset that can be read before performing the data mining task are the steps that are needed to do. Data mining task involved association rule mining. Association analysis has been used to associate the relationship between the product purchased with the suppliers. The analysis also has been used to associate the relationship between the products purchased with the projects that has been acquired throughout the months in 2019. The business solutions help Neddy Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. to reduce the operational cost so they know what products to buy in the near future to prevent any loss and maximize the profit. In conclusion, this data mining implementation has helped Neddy Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. from different perspectives for the company to sustain in this electrical industry.
