V-Lab Online Inventory System (VOIS)
Abstract
In this globalization era, the online inventory system has been applied in many organizations. An inventory system is the combination of technology (hardware and software) and processes and procedures that oversee the monitoring and maintenance of stock products, whether those products are company assets, raw materials and supplies, or finished products ready to be sent to the vendors or end consumers. A complete inventory management system consists of a system for identifying every inventory item and its associated information. Next, inventory management software, which provides a central database and point of reference for all inventory, coupled with the ability to analyze data, generate reports, forecast future demand, and more. The issue arises when the staff did not know how many the stocks are left and what item should buy, the staff need more books for data stock and staff did not know how many suppliers queue order. V-Lab Online Inventory System (VOIS) is an Inventory Management Systems that consist of information technology infrastructure, data, application systems, and personnel that employ IT to deliver information and communications services in an organization. This system uses User Interface Design for V-Lab Printing and Service shop to manage inventory effectively and efficiency. The purpose of this project is to develop and reduce the problems and increase the speed of the process. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology was implemented in this project by using the Adapted Waterfall Model contains Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation. It is implemented and VOIS is developed to deal with the inventory process. VOIS is tested in terms of functionality only.
