AN EVALUATION OF ONLINE SHOPPING WEBSITE QUALITY USING FUZZY TOPSIS METHOD
Abstract
Internet population fashionable among people today. This is a process by which consumers purchase products or services on the internet directly from a seller. Website performance plays a significant part in attracting, retaining, and keeping clients. Website quality plays a significant part in attracting, retaining, and keeping clients. Good shopping websites efficiency is very essential for fulfilling consumer preferences. Consequently, the factors or criteria that affect to the quality of the shopping website become significant to be discussed. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the quality of online shopping website by identifying the criteria and sub-criteria, calculating the weight for the criteria and establish the ranking order for the chosen shopping website.
There are three objectives that would need to be achieved for this study. First, the objective of this study is to identify the criteria and sub-criteria which lead to the quality of the shopping websites. The second objective of this study is to evaluate the criteria and sub-criteria of the shopping website’s quality by using Fuzzy TOPSIS. The third objective of this study is to rank the most preferred shopping website based on the websites’ quality.
The Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Situation (TOPSIS) method is used, applied to three shopping websites. Three criteria chosen in this study are service quality, information quality and system quality with thirteen sub-criteria. The use of Fuzzy TOPSIS method will then produce the ranking order for the selected shopping website, hence give the valuable information to the customers.
