DEAF STUDENT LEARNING STYLE PREDICTION USING FUZZY TOPSIS ALGORITHM
Abstract
Generally learning style is defined as
individual preferred way of learning. Every student is exposed to certain learning environment.
Different student, different ability in their studies and it can be referred in
learning style. For deaf student, there are several types of deaf. Even though
we know deaf student used their vision to learn and communicate but they also
have their own learning style to process and retained the information to gain
their knowledge in their studies. This system focusing on learning style
prediction based on Grasha Reichmann
Student Learning Style. This learning style has been known that focusing on the
specific criteria which is about the attitude of student towards the subject,
learning environment and their relationship between their friends and teacher.
It also does not care about the academic achievement level. Accordingly, the
goal of this study is to develop a
learning style prediction system for deaf students based on Grasha Reichmann
Learning Style using Fuzzy TOPSIS Algorithm. This research used Fuzzy TOPSIS
Algorithm to rank the learning style in Grasha Reichmann Student Learning
Style. With the fuzzy input from Grasha Reichmann Student Learning Style
question which is have many criteria and the TOPSIS method to rank the result
it will be easier for the user to make decision about their learning method.
The contribution of this study has found that there is high possibility the
result of first rank in the system and high range in original calculation in
Grasha Reichmann Student Learning Style is same. But the other result is in the
system was in different range number in Grasha Reichmann Student Learning Style
and ranking.
